Optimus Prime was finishing up some paperwork at his desk, who knew after winning a war there would be so much paperwork that needed to be done “I guess this is a duty that needs to be done for the rebuilding of Cybertron and Earth relations” he said sighing. Things have been mostly quiet with no rogue Decepticons causing chaos so Prime was finally able to do this chore. “Signed and done” Prime declared after signing the last form and laying back in his chair. Luckily, it was night time and everyone was asleep in Autobot City so he could rest his eyes a bit with a cup of energy. However, when he picked up his cup there was nothing there. “Damn, I guess I’ll need to refill”. he said tired. He got up and started heading to the Energon supplies room. He calmly walks through the hallways of the base being careful not to wake up everyone. “After this cup, maybe I will head to bed or stay up a little longer.” He thought quietly heading back to his office. While in the hallways he heard a small noise. At first, he couldn't tell what it was but listening further it sound like weeping. Heading to where the sound was coming from it lead to an open window to the roof. Looking through the window at first he didn't see anything but as his eye adjusted to the dark he saw a small form sitting there. It was you with tears in your eyes. “Y/n,” he asked surprised. Your head shot up shock someone was there and you see Prime. “Oh, I’m sorry Prime I thought everyone was asleep” you respond trying the wipe your tears away. Seeing your crying form he walked onto the roof as well. “What happened,” he asked as he got closer to you. “It’s nothing I promise” you reply still sitting on the roof. Prime could tell something was up as you always came to the roof when you were upset to get some fresh air. “Y/n just tell me it will make you feel better,” he said placing a hand on your shoulder. You wanted to tell him but you were scared that someone else would hear you as well. “No, it's fine Prime I just need the fresh air,” you said back. Prime seeing that he not getting through to you think and get an idea. “Hey I also need some fresh air and was planning to go for a drive, it would be nice to have some company,” he said softly. You look up again for the last time and decided to get up taking his hand to head the road. Prime transforms and you get in his truck mode. You and Prime have than this before so you can trust him to be safe. You stare at the window seeing the quiet night hoping it would help you forget your trouble but your mind wouldn’t let it go. Prime can see you were going to cry again and finally spoke “Now can you tell me what is troubling you tonight”? Now alone together you let it all out and explain what going on: The person you loved just got married to one of your friends, you loved this person for a while as they remind you of a dead loved one. So when you heard a close friend and they started dating your heart felt broken. But you wanted both of them to be happy so you tried to let it go but after the wedding, all that hidden feelings come out in a wave and that is why you were on the roof. You finished now crying and putting your hand on your mouth trying to not sound weak. Optimus was silent for a moment and then said “It's okay to let it out, heartbreak happens but it will pass and it was brave of you to think about your friend's happiness before your own”. “But what if it doesn't go away” you reply. “Even if it stays longer just remember you have people around you who care about you as must as you do for them” he answered back. You thought about it and he was right you do have people who made you happy even during heartbreak and this made you feel a little better. Optimus drove for a little longer to help you get better before you headed back to the base. Once you were back home Prime transformed and hugged you. You hugged him back now knowing that he was one of the people that would be there for you. “Good night y/n,” he said. “Good night and thank you Prime,” you said back then head to your room, getting ready to face what life will give you next and hopeful it will be your love.

You wake up in tears, panting heavily. "Urge, what's wrong you woke me up". Law asked tired. You look at your partner but not wanting to sound crazy you just say it was a regular nightmare. "Y/n this has been the fifth night you woke up crying, just tell me what bothering you so we can both get sleep" Law responded annoyed. Not wanting to make him more upset you explain your night terror: You were having dreams where Law left you for Nami or Robin. It may seem ridiculous but you have heard people around you talk about how good he looks with them and many believed they were dating. This dream was the worst as in this one you found out he was leaving you for Robin who was pregnant. When you and Law discussed your goals, you told him your main goal was to start a family. This nightmare shook you the most even if it wasn’t real. You look back at Law with more tears falling as you felt embarrassed. He sighed "Is that it, look you know I'm not good with words so all I'm going to say is there a reason I fell for you and not them". "You gave me hope that I could share my life with someone other than my crew.” “Like I promised when we're both ready we can start a family.” “I do want more for us than just the One Piece.” “As long as you are with me on this journey there is nothing that would make me want to leave you." He finished with blush covering his cheeks. You hug him feeling much better even if it wasn't the greatest love confession. You just need to remember why you fell for this man, the man you wanted to spread the rest of your life with. "Do you think you’re able to sleep"? He responded is in your arms. You nodded laying back down on the bed still holding him. You two cuddle until sleep takes you. This time you dream of a picnic with your crew. You and Law are sitting together smiling as everyone enjoys the day without worries.
